Victoria Woodhead knows what it feels like to be the only woman in the room - and she has spent her career making sure fewer people have to feel that way.
Starting in mechanical engineering as the sole woman on her college course, Victoria brought that resilience into account management, joining Codeweavers five years ago and progressing to Senior Account Manager. The team she has built is something she is deeply proud of - an all-women group in which she has worked consciously to foster confidence and mutual support.
As a STEM Ambassador, Victoria visits schools to inspire young women into technology, speaking from personal experience - not because her path was straightforward, but precisely because it wasn't.
One of my biggest career achievements has been leading and developing a successful team of women within a traditionally male-dominated industry. Having started my own career as the only woman on my college course, creating an environment where women feel confident, supported, and empowered has always been important to me. I’ve focused on building a culture where individuals feel comfortable sharing ideas, challenging themselves, and growing in confidence.
Through coaching and mentorship, I’ve supported team members in developing their skills, taking ownership of their work, and progressing in their careers. Seeing that growth - both professionally and personally - has been incredibly rewarding. What makes this especially meaningful is that it goes beyond business results. It’s about fostering an inclusive, high-performing team and demonstrating that diversity and strong leadership drive success. I’m proud to play a part in helping to inspire and support more women entering the automotive industry.
