Katie Martin

For me, this nomination reflects the opportunities that come from stepping into something new, continuing to learn, and embracing change, as well as the colleagues and teams that have supported and challenged me along the way.

Katie Martin

Katie Martin has spent more than two decades in automotive, quietly making it better for the people around her.

A trained Mental Health First Aider, she has built team cultures grounded in genuine openness and support. Beyond her own organisation, Katie sits on the Championing Women in Dealerships board with AM Magazine, speaks at the Auto 30% Club, and participates regularly in Women in Automotive sessions - lending her voice to a conversation she has believed in throughout her career, not just when it became prominent.

She leads by example, shows up as herself, and brings others along. In an industry that is changing, Katie represents the best of what that change looks like from the inside.

What advice would you give to a woman considering a career in automotive?

Don’t overlook automotive simply because it isn’t where you imagined yourself. This industry offers far more variety and opportunity than many people realise. Career paths aren’t linear. You can build depth, breadth, or both, and shape a journey that evolves with your strengths and interests.

If you’re curious, open to learning and willing to embrace change, automotive can be an incredibly rewarding place to grow. You might not expect to land here, but it could be exactly where you thrive.
