Cox Automotive will return as lead sponsor of the FT’s Future of the Car event in London this May.

Now in its 10th year, FT Future of the Car is a remarkable event that brings together influential leaders and innovators from across the global automotive sector for three days of discussion, insight and networking.

Two Cox Automotive leaders will join panel discussions exploring some of the most pressing issues of the time.

Craig Mailey, Chief Strategy Officer for Cox Automotive International will join a panel discussion chaired by the FT’s commodities correspondent, Harry Dempsey, alongside leaders from Stellantis, Volvo, Hydro and Glencore. The panel will explore the role of circular supply chains in the age of the net zero car. Craig will be presenting the case for EV battery lifecycle management and why refurbishing, repairing and repurposing batteries is a critical path between manufacture and recycling.

Strategy Director Karoline Baumann will join leaders from Allianz Partners, Group Lotus and Verizon Business Group for a discussion on changing consumer behaviours chaired by FT Transport Correspondent, Philip Georgiadis. This session will explore our evolving relationship with the car, the migration away from ownership and towards usership, and the impact of EVs on consumer decision making. Karoline will be drawing on her experience and sharing car buying journey insights gained through our extensive work with manufacturers and retailers.

You can hear Karoline on Tuesday 7th May at 11:25, and Craig at 16:00. Click here to learn more about the panel discussions and the other panellists.

Laura Lunn, Cox Automotive Marketing Director comments: “FT Future of the Car is a unique event in the European automotive sector calendar, and I’m delighted Cox Automotive is returning for a third time as headline sponsor. The three days attract an A-list of automotive manufacturer and fleet leaders and influential people from businesses operating throughout the value chain. At its heart is the high-quality discussion you’d expect from the FT, but it’s also a place where conversations happen and collaborations start.”

FT Future of the car takes place between Tuesday 7th and Thursday 9th May at Convene in London’s Patternoster Square. Anyone interested in attending can register here. You can also follow the discussion and join in the debate by following #FTCar on LinkedIn.
