RCI Financial Services, the specialist finance arm for four of the UK’s car brands: Renault, Nissan, Dacia and Alpine, has signed a new, three-year contract, beginning a new physical operations partnership with Manheim Vehicle Services.

RCI Financial Services and Cox Automotive agree new contract

The agreement will see Manheim Vehicle Services carry out de-fleet, refurbishment and transport on 5,000 cars in 2022, rising to 7,000 cars per year up to 2025. This will take place through Manheim’s Wyton site in Cambridgeshire.

The contract is a continuation of an existing 10-year agreement between the two companies. RCI Financial Services was impressed by the commitment to Cox Conserves, Cox Automotive’s national sustainability programme that aims to send zero waste to landfill by 2024, and to be carbon and water neutral by 2034. As part of the agreement, Cox Automotive is looking to install 20 electric vehicle charge points in Wyton.

Paul Stibbe, head of remarketing at RCI Financial Services, said: “Manheim Vehicle Services is a part of the wider Cox Automotive group, giving us access to a greater level of support throughout the entire vehicle lifecycle. As a long-term customer of Manheim Auction Services, we already had a great relationship with the company, but when we saw their state-of-the art refurbishment facilities and technology, plus their Cox Conserves objectives, we all agreed they were well equipped to handle our de-fleet and refurbishment requirements.”

Sam Panayides, Sales Director at Cox Automotive added: “RCI Financial Services and Manheim Vehicle Services have enjoyed a long and fruitful partnership for over a decade. We’re ready to cater for the changes in fleet in the years ahead, which is why we’ve committed to installing 20 charging points to help RCI Financial Services accommodate their electric vehicles (EVs). We thank them for being a trusted partner and look forward to what the future brings.”
