Cox Automotive senior sales team

Cox Automotive Europe has made a raft of senior appointments to further strengthen its enterprise sales team. The new hires bring significant expertise and experience to support all areas of the Cox Automotive business and are part of a strategic move to strengthen relationships with existing customers, in addition to developing new business prospects.

Victoria Gardner joins the company as the new Director of NextGear Development at NextGear Capital, where she will be responsible for spearheading future growth of its specialist vehicle stock-funding offering. Gardner brings more than 14 years of remarketing experience to NextGear Capital, most recently a six-year stint as Head of Remarketing at Epyx, a major fleet vehicle management technology provider.

Michael Stewart has been appointed as Cox Automotive Europe’s new Director – Manufacturer and Fleet. He joins from Copart where he was previously Automotive Sales Director.  Stewart takes on responsibility for managing the company’s major OEM and fleet customers, deriving and implementing remarketing strategies across the vehicle lifecycle.

The final key appointment to the Enterprise Sales team is Daniel Boakes, who has been promoted to Director of Dealer Development for Cox Automotive Europe. Boakes steps up from his current position as Head of Buyer Services for Manheim, taking on responsibility for nurturing dealership relationships and working closely with customers throughout the remarketing cycle. All three will report directly to Sam Panayides, UK Sales Director at Cox Automotive Europe.

Panayides commented: “We have a clear vision for Europe and these new appointments will play pivotal roles in helping us to achieve our ambitious growth plans. This is an exciting time to be joining Cox Automotive and comes off the back of several notable new contracts wins across our business. I’m looking forward to working closely with Victoria, Michael and Daniel to help promote our brands and services as well as expanding our market presence.”
